Join Colin Smith for an in-depth discussion in this video Overview of web galleries, part of Lightroom 1.3 for Digital Photographers.
Let's have a look at, first of all, the most basic way of creating a web gallery. …One of the first things that I've done is I've actually created a collection here and …I've thrown 47 images in there. …And notice that some of these images have adjustments; some of them don't. Some of them …here are virtual copies, while some of them are original images. …It doesn't really make any difference. …As far as the web gallery is concerned, it'll treat a virtual copy just like it'll treat …an original image. …So now that we've selected them into a collection, this way we don't have to individually select the photos.…
And then if we find a photo that we don't want to have in there--like say for example, …we don't want this photo--all I need to do is hit the Delete key. …It doesn't delete it from Lightroom; …all it does is take it out of the collection. …And if I want to add more photos, I can just simply drag them in there. …So now that I've got those 46 images now, let's go into the Web module. …And it's just going to take a little second here for it to populate and build the web gallery. …
