is the best way to get into the Develop module. So here we are in Library and any time I want to get back to the Library, I'm going to hit G for Grid, and any time I want to get into the Develop module, I'm going to hit D for Develop. Now, of course I can hit the triggers up here on the modules themselves, but just knowing D and G are enormously powerful and they'll really accelerate the workflow. The other thing I want to talk about here is how to get rid of all of this clutter. There's a lot going on here, my image is in the center and I really just want to focus on the image and the controls. on the image and the controls. So the first thing I do when I come in here is I get rid of our controls over on the left there. If I hover over that triangle, I'm going to see my presets and my history; these are all really valuable, but I don't need them all of the time, so I've gotten a little bit more of my image there. Also, when I'm looking at multiple images, I like to do that in the Grid, so I'm going to get rid of this photo tray at the bottom. And now you can see we've got the whole image there and the controls over on the right, it's just a nicer way of interacting with things. You can set it up whichever way you want; you could even set it up so that the Develop controls are out of the way and you just look at the image and those are available when you mouse hover to the right. Okay, so you'll notice that everything here is pretty much laid out in the way that we want to look at it, and by that I mean that we've got our Histogram at the top. If I were to mouse over the arrows on either side, the blue area shows me a little bit of shadow clipping that you see there on the image, and if I had any highlight clipping, that would come through as a red overlay there. It's just a good way to get a sense of your image. I don't use that all the time, but I will look at that from time to time. We have our tools next and we'll talk about those a little later and we're really going to step through this in order because for the most part, things are laid out in order, which is to say that the the tonal corrections and the temperature corrections that I need the most are right up there on top and I can go a little bit deeper underneath there and of course, all of these accordion as we go. So you can use that same set up of just having what you need right there in front of you. Knowing where things are and how they work is really important to working quickly, is really important to working quickly, so again, remember that G takes you back to the Grid, and D takes you into the Develop module. You're going to do a lot of back and forth as you work in the Develop Module.
