Introducing the trees in a tropical landscape

- Many landscape photographer's favorite place to shoot is the coast. Now I've had the opportunity to share with you a course on Olympic National Park, where we got to photograph on Second Beach, and in New Zealand photographing the coast there, and wonderful experiences. And now we're presented with something completely different. The only thing that remains the same is hey, we've got a beach and we've got an ocean, but we're in the tropics, and the tropics means a couple of things. First, is very interesting plants and trees, and in this case, on Hawaii, palm trees. Now not only do they give you a wonderful compliment to the ocean, but they represent an emotion, and so much of photography is telling a story. Now when somebody sees a photograph of a beautiful beach and palm trees, instantly, they're transported to vacation, to a sense of paradise. And so that's what we really want to embrace, is the emotion of escaping to a tropical paradise.
