Importing photos from a memory card

- [Instructor] Importing from a memory card is a bit different than importing images already on a hard drive. When we import directly from a card, it's called the import copy method because the images first have to be copied to a hard drive from the memory card before Lightroom Classic can work with them. I have some photos on a memory card here that's mounted to my computer. We'll import these to see what that process looks like. So I'll jump over to Lightroom Classic, and then I'll click on the Import button to go into the import dialog. And we see that right away automatically Lightroom has recognized that card in the upper left-hand corner where we have the source, which is the EOS digital card, and in the center, we have all the images that are on that card. The important part here is at the top, notice that it says copy. So this is the import copy method. These images are going to be copied from that memory…
