This video focuses on the image editing process with additional examples that illustrate the range of subject matter that can be photographed in infrared.
- Infrared is partly about experimentation.…What is any particular subject in X lighting,…what's it going to look like?…And that's what we love to find out.…So I want to take a couple of examples…that we photographed and process them,…see if anything is there.…So the first one was a bee…hovering between a couple flowers.…The flowers were purple, and now let's see what they look…like in infrared, this was a scene that,…I didn't know if it was going to work,…but it certainly was fun to try and let's see what we…can do, so I'm going to do normal lens corrections,…come down and add the profile.…
Which made it very blue, let's add a little bit of warmth…to it so now we have a very neutral beginning.…And we'll take it into photoshop.…Okay, here in photoshop we're going to go to actions…and we're going to go to, we had 720 pink, let's try that,…even though this is a 590 let's see what it looks like.…Let's go back, I'm going to reverse and start from scratch.…You can try an action if you're not convinced, no worries.…
