- Let's take a look at the official tool that comes from the manufacturer. In this case, X-Rite. Most software products are available from the people that make the color charts. Go to your applications folder, and open up the ColorChecker Camera Calibration. Now, you need to load a file in. You can load in DMG files, TIF files with embedded profiles, but DMG tends to work the best. Remember if needed, you can convert the DMG from the raw file, using Adobe software or the Adobe DMG converter. Let's choose to add the image here. And I'll navigate to the folder. In this case, I'm going to load up an image from photographer Kevin Ames. Kevin's a professional portrait photographer, and he likes to use the ColorChecker to ensure that he's getting accurate color on his shoot.
