Creating a Photoshop action

- If you want to save the most complex adjustments in Photoshop, recording an action will do so. Essentially, you are having the computer watch what you do and memorize all the steps. These steps can then be played back later, in the future on other images, or run on a folder of images as the ultimate time saver. Actions are pretty easy to use. Just think of them like a recording device. Go into the window menu and bring up the actions panel. I suggest you make a new folder and add your initials. Now you can create a new action and tell it to record what you're doing. I'm going to call this one "Glow." Now I just start to run filters. I'm going to first convert this to a smart object. Now filters will run non-destructively. Let's add a blur filter here. I'll do a Gaussian Blur with a heavy value. But instead of applying it directly, we'll come down here and actually click the blending options, the double arrow there,…
