Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Create a reference still for developing, part of Lightroom: Working with Video.
…Earlier, you saw me take clips and apply presets.…Now, these are presets that were included with LightRoom.…And of course, you can use any other presets you have.…But how about making your own preset?…Well, there's a couple a gotchas you need to realize.…First off, when you select a clip, you might be excited to work with that clip.…For example, let's go to loop view here.…And, I've got the clip selected and I say, you know what, that's perfect.…Let's go to the Develop module.…And, immediately when you do, you get a…giant box telling you that video cannot be developed.…
Of course, you're frustrated at this point and…you're wondering, what the heck should I do?…Well, there is a pretty easy workaround.…Switch back to the library module with the clip selected.…And then park your play head on a frame that's representative.…What you're going to want to do then is click and choose to create a new frame.…This allows you to capture the individual frame…You'll see it gets added to that clip.…Make sure it's expanded and then click to select the still image.…
