Basic tone adjustments

- In this project we'll be working on this photograph that I captured of my buddy Johnny. And we'll be working with the original file as it appears straight out of the camera. And in this movie we'll be applying a few raw adjustments to the photograph. Now you can make these raw adjustments either in Lightroom or Adobe Camera Raw. Either tool will work well. Just to keep things simple here, because I assume some of you may not be using Lightroom, I'll start off in Camera Raw. Here in Adobe Bridge select the image, then double-click it to open it up in Adobe Camera Raw. Now if you are a Lightroom user by all means open the image up in Lightroom and there you can make the same adjustments we'll be making here. Both tools have a basic panel and in the basic panel we're going to make a few adjustments, keeping in mind what we'll be doing later in Photoshop. Later in Photoshop we're going to add a lot of interesting detail and contrast to the photograph. And we'll be converting it to black…
