Join Jan Kabili for an in-depth discussion in this video Applying dehaze, part of Learning Lightroom 6 and Lightroom Classic CC.
- If you're a nature photographer,…you'll really appreciate the Dehaze…features in Lightroom CC.…You can use these features to either…decrease or increase the amount of…mist or haze in your photos.…To apply Dehaze to this photo,…here in the Develop module,…I'll open the Effects panel.…In the Effects panel, I'll go down to the Dehaze slider.…Now if I drag Dehaze to the left,…that increases the amount of mist or haze in a photo.…And sometimes this can give you some…really interesting effects.…Or, I can go the other way, dragging…the Dehaze slider to the right instead.…
And notice that as I do this, I'm increasing…the amount of detail, and decreasing…the amount of mist or haze in the photo.…One of the side effects of increasing the…Dehaze slider, is that sometimes, you get…a bit too much saturation in some colors.…So to fix that, you can try going to the HSL panel,…making sure that you have the Saturation tab selected,…and clicking on the Targeted Adjustment Tool.…With this tool, I can change the saturation…of just specific colors in a photo.…
