Analyzing the preview image
- Inside of the dialog is a preview image. This is not final quality, nor should it be judged too critically. This is just to give you an idea of what the merge is going to look like. The image itself can be clicked on, and it will enlarge. Now, it didn't get very large there because it's a low-quality preview. You'll notice, in this case, that it did zoom in a bit. If you're on a smaller screen, this could be useful, as it does punch in and you have the ability to pan the image as you drag through. I'll typically expand this window, though, so it fits, keeping in mind that, if you are as large as possible, the image might not even have enough resolution to fill the dialog. This full-size image will be created when I click the Merge dialog, but there are a few other options here to explore. First up, if you change the projection method, for example, maybe I wrap this to Cylindrical, you'll notice that it needs to rebuild the preview. With each change, it has to reanalyze and build the…
