Join Richard Harrington for an in-depth discussion in this video Adjusting the white balance of a video clip, part of Lightroom: Working with Video.
…When you shoot video.…White balance is often an issue.…And there's several reasons for this.…First off you can't really rely upon auto white balance on video cameras as much.…As things change within a scene, the camera might…make an adjustment in the middle of a shot.…This leads to a lot of extra work in post production.…As you're trying to keep up with…the automatic changes that the camera was making.…In fact, it's virtually impossible.…This is why a lot of people will preset their white balance.…Of course, any time the user has to preset…something, there is a chance they're going to do it wrong.…
Plus, there are several cameras where setting the…white balance is not an option at all.…Maybe you could choose from a preset list, but you…can't really refine it and get exactly what you need.…And, some cameras don't even give you a choice at all.…So, it's important that you know how to fix this during post.…So, this shot here, looks about right as far as the white balance goes, but…I could try and experiment to see if it could be a little bit better.…
