Why photograph real estate exteriors at twilight?

- Ask yourself this, if you were going to shoot a headshot of a beautiful woman, would you bring her out here in order to shoot it? Harsh, nasty sunlight, shadows, contrasty, you wouldn't do it, right? You would have an umbrella and a hair light, soft glowy glamour light and you would try to make her look really, really beautiful. This is the same sort of thing that we want to do with a house. At noon in bright sunshine, it's the harshest, worst kind of light imaginable. Now in the real estate world, sometimes that's what we have to do. We don't always have the luxury of choosing which time of day we're gonna shoot. We make the appointment, we show up, we deal with what's there. But when you do have the option to make things beautiful, why not do it? Right now there's a video crew over here, you can't see him, but he's holding a reflector over here. He's trying to bounce some fill light in and do his best to make me pretty. If I could get a guy to stand over there with a 50-foot…
