- So our backyard shot was not as quite as successful as our front yard shot, and no big surprise there. I was just running an intervalometer. I was taking a picture once a minute, and we were hoping for the best. It was a little dark and shadowy because the camera was looking at the windows of the house and exposing them perfectly, but that left all the shrubbery and all that stuff pretty dark. Good news is we're shooting RAW, we have tremendous ability to flex these files around, and I was able to get things to where they ought to be. But even with that, I'm gonna do some Photoshop blending here. What I did was I found three images that all had elements that I liked, one for the fire, one for the glow from the fire, and one that was sort of a base shot where the deck and the trees and all that stuff looked pretty good.
