
About the Author
Leigh Ann Chow is a writing instructor who came to education after 15 years in publishing and communications.
She earned a BA in English from Dickinson College and a secondary English certification through Wilson College. She has a master's degree in literacy education from Penn State University, where she also obtained a Writing Instruction Specialist Certificate in May 2015. She is a fellow of the National Writing Project and serves as a mentor for the PA Capital Area Writing Project's Invitational Candidate Institute. In addition to eight years of experience in the public schools, Leigh also teaches first-year composition at Penn State Harrisburg. When not teaching, she can be found knitting, running, doing yoga, or playing the oboe with a local symphony orchestra. She lives in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania with her husband and two young children.
