In this video, Bill will encourages the viewers to continue their quest toward becoming an authentic leader with specific next steps. He mentions values and purpose, and points the reader to other resources, such as his book "Discover Your True North."
- At this point, you might be asking yourself, "How do I go further into this?" And I would be the first to acknowledge, it's not an overnight process. It may take years to become the authentic leader you want to become. It's a process of human growth and personal development. It's no different than being an athlete or a musician. You have to practice your leadership every day because it's about engaging yourself with the world and the world you live in, the work world, the personal world, the family world, and seeing how you can become more authentic, more real, and develop your self awareness.
So I encourage you to start out by picking up a copy of my book, Discover Your True North, along with the field guide which goes with it which has some great exercises in it. And just taking on some of those exercises, or get a small group of friends and work your way through those exercises and give each other feedback. I think that's a very good place to start and then start practicing these things in the work place, at home, and I think you'll find that people really respect you as a person that's trying to become a more authentic leader, a more authentic human being, and a person who really cares about other people.
And when you do that, I think you'll be well on your way to a lifetime of greater fulfillment and greater happiness and the realization that you can fulfill all your dreams by being real.
- Understanding your desires and fears
