- The essence of being an authentic leader is being aware of yourself and how you interact with the world. I'm Bill George and I spent most of my life trying to become more authentic and become a better leader. I have the privilege of teaching at Harvard Business School. And having been the former CEO of Medtronic. But what I'm really focusing on is the crying need the world has for more authentic leaders. For more leaders, not more charismatic leaders, not more ego-driven leaders, but leaders who are real, who can bring people together, are on a passion for a common purpose to make this world a better place for all seven billion people.
And can each contribute in their own way to helping this world be better for everyone who lives in it.
