- Walk into any established family business, and most likely, you'll still find the founder of the company coming to work every day. You'll also find members of that generation, the traditionalists, working side by side with their younger counterparts, much longer than anyone thought they would be. Many grew up during the Depression, and as a result, have a work ethic that never seems to quit, which may explain why many of them are still working.
