The four factors in an ideal job

- If you were thinking about options for what to work on, either as an employee at a company or as a self-employed business, how could you choose which one is likely to work out best? I've previously talked about the idea of an Ikigai, which is Japanese for a reason for being. It consists of four overlapping circles for what you enjoy doing, what you're good at, what you can get paid for, and what the world needs. But the question is how to get started on something so big and important? I would start with what you enjoy doing. I admit that there is a slight risk that if you make your hobby into your work, then you'll over do it and not enjoy it anymore. But still, you have to enjoy your work, otherwise you'll never be great at it. So I'd start with something you're passionate about. Next, I would think about whether you're good at it. You don't have to be the best in the world. You don't have to be amazing at it, but you do have to be pretty good if you're gonna be successful and earn…
