- It feels like it was just yesterday when my generation, the Baby Boomers, entered the workplace. I remember concerns about our freewheeling attitude destroying the productivity gains made by our parents. Eventually, we found our footing and made a ton of positive contributions to the world of work. However, our journey was, and still is, a bit bumpy at times. Baby Boomers, born between 1946 and 1964, were the largest generation to enter the workforce. As such, we were always in a state of competition which explains why many of us are so driven. We put our work life before our personal life, and proudly wore our workaholic badges on our suit jackets. We don't quite understand why our employees need to leave right on time to make it to their yoga class. Over the years, we've worked hard, and you'd think by now, we'd be dreaming about our retirement. For many though, that's not the case.
