Who should facilitate?

- So, who should facilitate your meetings? There are couple of ways to think about it. One of our first decisions is whether to go with an internal or external facilitator. There's a general rule of thumb, though know this has exceptions. The lower the meeting importance, the more likely you can use an internal facilitator. And while it's not entirely scientific, here are five questions you could use to decide the internal-external debate. Which meetings are critical to our success? If those meeting structure and dynamics improved, would a facilitator materially improve our team's performance? If so, what kind of monetary value would I give it? Given this, is it worth investing in an external facilitator? If it is, what do I think an external facilitator can do that someone internally cannot?
