What's in it for your stakeholders?

- As you think about the people in your network who can champion your ideas, you also need to think about what's in it for them to get involved? For instance, some people might be motivated by altruism. They want to do the right thing or make a difference and they'll help you often without any pay or recognition. Others might share your point of view and they're willing to roll up their sleeves to bring that future about. Say you're working on a social justice issue, there are often many others focused on bringing about the same needed change. Look around you for those with efforts already underway, but beyond that, how can you attract new people to engage with you? When my client Van Ton Quinlivan started her change efforts are her company, she had no funding. So she used the enticement of skill-building to borrow people's time.
