Welcome

- In my more than 20 years consulting and coaching, I've conducted many employee surveys. Two things I hear over and over are that employees feel overwhelmed and underappreciated. Now that might sound bleak, but the good news is you can reward performance in so many ways, and employers who are looking to attract and retain high-performing employees, have to do so. What I'd like to share with you are strategies and techniques you can use to show your genuine appreciation for great work and ease those feelings of overwhelm and under-appreciation. Welcome, I'm Don Phin. I'm an employment attorney, consultant, and executive coach. I've worked with managers who do a great job of rewarding performance, and I've seen managers who altogether ignore employee rewards, the result being employee disengagement and turnover. In this course, I'm going to help you understand exactly why rewarding performance is so important. I'll teach you the difference between discretionary and nondiscretionary rewards, we'll learn how to make sure incentives don't backfire, and so much more. Plus I'm going to talk about popular ways to reward employees for meeting specific objectives so you can feel good about your return on investment. So if you're ready, let's get started.
