Companies pay good money to help train you on that, in fact. All that's important, of course, but it's only half the story. The other half is learning to listen well. There's very little instruction in that. You're expected to figure that out on your own. I'm Dorie Clark. You never listen. You may have been told that since you were a little kid, or maybe you've received more recent feedback like on a performance review that this is an area where you can stand to focus.
