- Hi, I'm Chris Croft, and this is my course on working with difficult people. I've been teaching management and assertiveness for 20 years now, both as a university lecturer and as owner of my own training business. And I think this is a pretty important subject, because there are lots of difficult people around, aren't there? Who knows, you might even be one yourself. It takes one to know one, and my wife says I'm sometimes one. But she's obviously wrong (laughs).
So we need to know what to do about difficult people, both at work and in our social lives. And I've got all sorts of cunning plans for you. These include changing how you deal with difficult people so that they don't have such a big effect on you, as well as ways to actually change their behavior. Which is more difficult, but can be a better result in the long term. We will look at aggressive people, psychological games players, bosses, people with annoying habits, and people who are just different from you.
