- I think we all know how important it is to create an inclusive work environment where everyone feels there's a level playing field. But one of the difficult things about trying to do that is that some of the most common offenses occur without the perpetrator even knowing they've done anything wrong. Alright, here's an example from Bracken Darrell, the president of Logitech in Silicon Valley. So prior to joining Logitech, Bracken had a job reporting to a man we'll call Jack. Now like Bracken, Jack was a 30-something-year-old white male, and he was well-educated, well-traveled, basically a worldly guy with a modern progressive view, right? In other words, he was the kind of guy you'd expect to treat everyone the same, regardless of their gender or ethnic background. And as far as Bracken could tell, and Jack for that matter, that's exactly the way he behaved.
