You may or may not feel compelled to help me but what if I told you that I grew up with a parent who wasn't emotionally engaged and I saw firsthand that lack of emotional engagement had a chilling effect on her work and the people around her? So one of the reasons I study emotional engagement is because I wanted to understand how to get people to care and how to get them excited and I want you to help me get my team excited because I don't want them to be sleepwalking through their jobs.
