- After surveying thousands of employees globally what I've discovered is that people desire open, honest, and transparent communication. We would all rather have a leader that's open with us than one who is confident, ambitious, committed, or even inspirational. You know collaboration isn't working when you have organizational silos. Silos are the enemy of collaboration. When teams and departments are in silos, they work independently and don't share information with others, which reduces operational efficiencies, harms moral, and isolates your employees.
