When measuring performance, consider "managing by exception," and only spend time discussing and analyzing metrics that are out of variance. Looking at areas where you're falling short of your goals or far exceeding them saves time and analysis. You'll also need to build a regular cadence of measurement and analysis. Lay out a basic measurement calendar and clearly define forums for discussing and acting on results.
