Keeping things in perspective

- We all know as leaders, our jobs can get stressful, and our teams can get stressed out. It's always a new crisis that we're facing, but our job as a leader is to maintain perspective and help our teams regain perspective as quickly as possible, because if you, as the leader, are freaking out, the team is really freaking out, because their leadership doesn't know what to do, so the faster you can regain perspective, the faster you're going to be able to orient your team toward focusing on a solution. Now, you may need something to help you in that moment when you're really stressed that you can reach out and say, I need to calm down, take a moment, take a breath, realize things aren't as serious as they feel right now, regain perspective, and then start looking for solutions. For me, my maxim is very important because I can get spun up very very quickly.
