- So we've seen that some difficult people are just incompetent. They might be bad at self discipline, organization time-keeping, manners, listening, empathy communicating or whatever. But why would someone be like this? Surely we all want to be perfect whatever perfect means. I think the problem we all have including me by the way is that we're really just animals in a fast-paced, high-tech world that we've suddenly created and which we're not really designed for. We still have emotions which aren't always helpful. And we're largely still driven by the inner child sometimes known as the inner chimp which can be pretty hard to control. The chimp is selfish, lazy, greedy, emotional and doesn't plan ahead. Which was probably fine when we lived in Stone Age times but now, it's not always a good way to behave. The inner chimp leads to faulty thinking with faulty internal statements the things we say to ourselves. Which is quite an odd idea when you think about it. I mean, who's talking to…
