- This next section is on How to Delegate. You might think it's common sense, you just say, I'm delegating this job to you. But actually it's not as clear as that. So I want to give you a couple of ideas about kind of when you could be delegating, and then the words to use. So, the first thing I want to say is, Delegate at 80%. So just because the person can't do it 100% as well as you. If they're going to do it 80% as well as you, give it to them. That last 20% doesn't really matter. And also, it's probably in your own mind. Now just to be clear about this, if it's something like you know, a brain transplant, then it probably does have to be 100%. But if somebody's going to just decide what color a cushion is, 80% is going to be fine. And actually, even the brain transplant at some point, that new doctor has to be given the operation to do themselves. And that last 20% probably is in your own mind.
