Getting off to a great start
- Now the start of your presentation is absolutely key. It's important for your state of mind to get off to a good start. And the audience are deciding in the first minute whether to listen to you or not. So it's important for the start to be good and therefore, you should prepare your start really carefully. Maybe even write down exactly what you're going to say. You're not going to read this or memorize it, but write it down so that you're really clear about how you're going to start off. And I've go three tips for what makes a good start. Any one of these three, or even if you can fit in two or three of them, that will be great. And the first of my three tips is the what's in it for me factor. Why should the audience listen? So don't just say I'm going to tell you all about Australia.
