- I attended a conference which featured famous business thought leaders Tom Peters, Jim Collins and Tim Ferriss. Everyone was on the edge of their seats drinking in their advice. Then, the next keynoter was introduced. She walked out, stood with her hands in the dreaded fig leaf position, more about that in a moment, and started off with a whispery voice we could hardly hear. Within seconds, the laptops came out and people started walking out, which was a shame because she had valuable insights to share.
