- I've been mentioning various books during this program because books are fantastic and all the knowledge of the world is in books. There's another book I want to mention briefly now, which is called The Inner Game of Tennis by Tim Gallwey. And it's sort of about tennis but it's also sort of about life. And in the Inner Game of Tennis, he says there are three reasons why you might play tennis. In fact, why you might do anything in your life. And two of them are false. Two of them are a road to nowhere, a road to unhappiness. So the first one is competition. You might play tennis or you might do anything to be better than other people. And he says forget that. Forget that, it's not that enjoyable anyway to beat other people. And anyway, you never will beat everyone. You know, even the best tennis player in the world loses every now and then. And really the only way that you can win more than half the time is to play people who are worse than you. And that's just a pathetic way to try…
