- There is a saying that has been attributed to English mathematician Karl Pearson. And I've found it to be true. "That which is measured improves. "That which is measured and reported "improves exponentially." Establishing a system of reporting and measuring will help you to increase your strengths consistently over time. We particularly want to measure how well you're performing with your most valuable strengths. But to stay focused, we'll only track progress on one strength at a time. You'll find a space for this at the bottom of the Most Valuable Strengths worksheet. Then, there are two things we need to do to improve on a strength. First, set a quarterly goal. Let's say that I'm working on improving my most valuable strength of sales. The target number would be my new average strength rating. If I'm currently a 7.2, maybe I want to raise that to a 7.5. Note that I didn't try to make a large jump in my score, especially within the matter of a quarter. Just a 5% increase or so is…
