Conflicting priorities
- Conflicting priorities usually come in the form of project priorities competing with a team member's day-to-day priorities. The conflict will manifest itself either between team members or between the cross-functional team and the function responsible for the person's day-to-day activities. It occurs between team members when a person is spending too much time on their day-to-day responsibilities and are not delivering on their team priorities. Their team mates get frustrated with that. It happens between the cross-functional team and their function when the team is taking that person away too much from their day to day. And that owner of the day-to-day responsibilities get frustrated because the person is dedicating so much time to the cross-functional team.
