- Seasoned leaders, your first thought might be, they're easy to manage. They already know what to do. In some ways that's true, but they can also come with their own set of issues. For you to successfully manage them, and for them to successfully manage their own teams, you'll need to understand the common challenges they face. Let's look at three of the most common challenges shared by experienced managers. First, experienced leaders might be burnt out. If they struggle to delegate, they might be continuously taking on more responsibility than they should. Working nights, weekends, skipping lunch. They are doing everything in their power to make sure their teams are producing and meeting quotas, but they may be over-relying on old techniques to get results.
