Childish people
- Childishness covers a whole collection of sins, as well as some strengths like creativity and fun. The sins include being selfish and not planning ahead, being irrational and emotional rather than discussing problems calmly, ego, wastefulness, defiance, defensiveness, lack of focus, lack of perseverance, putting off unpleasant things, and lack of self-discipline and self-control generally. In fact, their inner chimp or inner child is out of control. That's really the problem. I even had bosses who were childish. I want everything finished today, I don't care how you do it. And I've worked a lot with musicians in rock bands who say things like let's not worry about which songs we're going to play until we get there, and you're always turning your saxophone up and turning my guitar down. And it's not fair, we should be playing at Wembley Stadium, not this tiny little pub in the middle of nowhere. So, ideally the objective with childish people would be to get them to grow up and take…
