- [Instructor] This course comes with some exercise files that you can download. You can place them at the desktop just like I did. They're divided up into chapters. Each chapter has the initial stage of the files. We also have the resources folder, where we have the design that has been provided for us by the Landon Hotel. If you wish to start at a specific location of the course, you may need to do the following.
Copy the Landon app folder into the desktop. Open a console... and navigate to the Landon app folder. We will need to run the command composer install. This is going to download our dependencies for our project. Let's clear the screen.
We may need to run the command php, artisan... cache, colon, clear. Now we can start up our server with php, artisan, serve. Keep in mind that if you want to follow the database videos, you may have to reveal the database structure. If you're interested in only the database material, you should start at the beginning of the chapter covering eloquent. In the first few videos, we set up the database and we found it won't work correctly.
Let's stop our server. We may also need to clear our screen with command k or command clear. You may also want to run the command php, artisan, config, cache, which will clear our config cache and recreate it.
