What you should know
- Before you start this course, you should be able to understand a simple ladder logic program. You should be familiar with how ladder logic programming works using the basics instructions, like how to use input and output instructions, and how timer and counter instructions work. I'll focus on the concept of ladder logic programming in this course, including math instructions, compare instructions, some data transfer instructions, and learning about sequenced logic. I'll be using LogixPro PLC Simulator from LearningPit. This simulation software mimics Allen-Bradley Rockwell RSLogix 500. I will only use this software to demo the examples and show you how the programs work. This course does not teach the software, because you will be able to apply the knowledge to any PLC software that uses ladder logic. This course is designed as a continuation of Learning PLC Ladder Logic. If you need a refresher on the basics of programming ladder logic, I recommend that you check it out first.
