- [Instructor] Knowing the structure of the project file, helps in understanding the memory structure of the tag-based system. Here is a block diagram of the controller project file. The information inside the project is organized this way. First, having IO data, control and system information together, and task that includes ladder logic programs, and all the associated data. This is how the project looks inside this software. The RSLogix5000, displays the project structure in a tree format. A task is a collection of scheduled programs. You see here, the name routine appears, are routine is another name for LATA logic program. When a task is executed, the associated LATA logic program are executed as well. One task can include multiple programs depending on the software version, in the controller model up to 100 programs can be scheduled within each task.
