- [Instructor] Here is how to use the limit instruction differently. Let's say we want to look at the temperature value and determine if it's outside a desired range. If the value is outside the limit, a yellow pilot light turns on, indicating it's outside the limits. We are going to use a thumbwheel to enter the temperature value. Think about it this way, if we want to test for a value between two limits, zero and 100, the low limit is zero, and the high is 100. Now, using the limits instruction is pretty straightforward, right? Now, what happens if I want to test outside the limits? The value could be more than the high limits or less than the low limits. So the way to include all the values below the low limits and above the high limits is to switch them. Switch the low and high limits. So the high limit is zero and the low limit is 100. In this case, if the temperature is anything outside the range of low limit 100…
