- [Instructor] In manufacturing process, the scenario goes this way. We need to leave the fan on for a certain time to cool down the finished products and we want to keep track of the remaining time. A technician sets the time, the thumbwheel switch is used to enter the value for the timer, and a press on the start push button to start timing. Then LED display is used to show the countdown of the remaining time in minutes or seconds depending on the program preference. During that time, a yellow pilot light is on so the yellow LED is used to show when the fan is on and when the timer is done timing, a red pilot light turns on. The start push button is connected to input one, the pilot lights, red and yellow, are connected to output two. The same thing with the fan. The thumbwheel switch is connected to input five and the LED display is connected to output six.
