Example: FRD and TOD

- [Narrator] Here's a scenario of an example where we use both RFD and TOD instructions. Let's say that we have different stations in a production floor, where a lab technician can use any of them for a temporary task. And each station has a pilot light attached to it. When the station is occupied, the technician sets the time for the pilot light to flash using a thumbwheel switch. The faster the flashing, the shorter the time needed. And the time is shown on the LED display. The technician presses on a start switch to start the process. The switch is connected to input one. The pilot light is connected to output two. Thumbwheel switch is connected to input five, and LED display is connected to output six. We need to use the thumbwheel switch to enter the number of seconds we need the LED to flash on and off. Both on and off are always the same. The LED display is to show the current time selected.
