- [Narrator] Here's a scenario for a section within a production line. This is part of a batch-counting operation to sort parts automatically for quality control. A sensor is used to detect the defective parts. The proximity sensor is used to count the parts as they pass by on the conveyor for the quality control line. Once eight parts have been detected, a red pilot light turns on. When less than eight parts detected, a green pilot light is on, indicating we're still within the accepted limits. A reset push button is used to reset it back to zero when the new batch of parts are coming. The two pilot lights are connected to output two. Reset push button and the sensor are connected to input one.
