Dishwasher sequence truth table

- [Instructor] For building the truth table for this process, I have outputs on the top of the table and I'll place the steps on the side. In step one, fill, wash, drain are on so we place one for each one of the outputs. The reason for putting them in different rows, or words, is that each output is activated separately. If I place them in one row, meaning one word, so in this case, the fill, wash and drain will be all on at the same time, and this is not what we want. We want the steps to happen sequentially, not on the same time, so we need to keep them in different words. For step two, only soap is on. For step three, fill, wash, drain are on, so we place ones under these outputs. Step four, fill, wash, drain for the second time. Finally, step five is dry. And we place zeroes for the rest of the operation when they are off. Notice that we have 11 steps, so the length is 11 that goes inside the instruction. Now we…
