Waveform charts

- Waveform charts and waveform graphs are two related types of Labview indicators for displaying data. The waveform chart displays a certain number of points that are stored within a buffer. You can add single values to the waveform chart one at a time or multiple values at once by using an array. When you write new points to the waveform chart, they're displayed in addition to the existing data in the buffer. I'll add a waveform chart to this VI by right clicking on the front panel to open the controls pallette, going to the graph menu, and selecting waveform chart. For this demonstration, I'll generate random numbers as a source of data by going to the function pallette, numeric menu, and selecting the random function. I'll wire that to the waveform chart. And now, every time I run this VI, It'll generate a new random value and add it to the buffer to display on the chart. By default, the chart is set to display 100…
