Simulate Signal Express VI

- [Instructor] Up to this point in the course, we focused on using block-diagram components from the programming pallette. These are the most common components you'll use to write 90% of your programs. However, it's time to turn our attention to another part of the pallette labeled Express. Express VIs have settings that you can configure interactively through a dialogue box. They're designed to handle some of the most common input, and output, and signal-processing tasks to help you build programs faster. There are several sections of the Express VI pallette for different types of input, signal analysis, output, and signal-manipulation tasks. I'll go to the input pallette, and then within there, I'll choose this VI named Simulate Signal. When I drop the Express VI on my block diagram, it opens a dialogue window with configuration options.
