- There are several crowdfunding platforms that offer a continuous or subscription model instead of or in addition to the other models. Patreon, founded in 2013, is a rewards-based crowdfunding platform popular with YouTube and web series content creators, musicians, and artists. It enables them to obtain funding from their fans on a recurring basis or per release of work. It allows a setting of a recurring or maximum monthly donation for patrons. For example, if each episode of a web series is set to $2 and three episodes are released that month, you will be charged $6 if your maximum allowed for that. Pozible is a rewards-based crowdfunding site created in 2010. It's based in Australia and allows for international crowdfunding campaigns. It offers all-or-nothing funding, subscription crowdfunding, and even self-hosted crowdfunding for users that don't want to divert traffic from their own websites and have good web design skills.
